This is a great class for students who are in need of assistance with Algebra 2 content. Vanleer does an excellent job of explaining the material in a logical, step-by-step way that the students can easily understand. She is very patient and helpful. Another fun perk is that she also starts each lesson with a brief fun problem or activity. The students really enjoy it! I highly recommend this class!!

I had a fantastic experience with Ms. Pierce. She is an excellent tutor. I had one math class to take in college and put it off until my senior year. I have dyslexia and ADHD and did not get very far with math in high school, so I did not feel like I was prepared to take this class in college. After working with Ms. Pierce for several months, I was equipped to take my college math class and I passed with an A! Not only was I successful in my class, but for the first time in my life, I really enjoyed the work! I would recommend Ms. Pierce to anyone of any age who would like some extra help with math. She is encouraging and a joy to work with.

My daughter is going into 6th grade, loves math, and is really enjoying this class so far. She had been bored during her regular school coursework, but loves the pace of this class. Ms. Pierce does a great job of succinctly, yet thoroughly, explaining the topics during each course. She provides adequate time for any questions students may have, even though most students are pretty quiet during the class. Worksheets for the topics have been helpful, too, since this class is more of an intro or review into each topic rather than an in-depth tutoring session. I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a review to ensure they understand this foundational subject matter, or who is new but wants to dive into these math topics relatively quickly.

We learned about Vanleer’s services through our church’s homeschool group, and my son began online tutoring with her once a week. If you are looking for a great math tutor, Ms. Vanleer is the one for you! She cares and will make sure you understand the problems before moving on. She takes time to go through each step of a math problem to ensure you actually know the material. Ms. Vanleer will send your parents progress notes, which is amazing and very helpful. She helped me go up three grade levels in less than one year.
